$750,000 Matching Grant for National Litigation Academy
Your gift to help train Christian attorneys to defend religious freedom will be DOUBLED!So in 1997, with the goal of building a strong legal alliance of over 5,000 allied attorneys, ADF launched the first National Litigation Academy (NLA) to train Christian attorneys in constitutional law. This intense week of training – which is entirely funded by generous gifts from Ministry Friends like you – is provided to the attorneys at no cost. In return, they commit to provide 450 hours of pro-bono, dedicated service to defend religious freedom, the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family.
Despite the ACLU’s formidable head start in the legal arena, and its more than $300 million in assets, ADF has made great strides in just 12 short years. By God’s grace, and with the faithful prayers and financial support of Ministry Friends like you, we have trained more than 1,300 attorneys who have provided more than $102 million of dedicated, pro-bono service for the Body of Christ. That’s a great return on investment!

The success of the National Litigation Academy is exemplified through countless crucial ADF-allied attorney victories, including these three examples from 2009:
- An official with San Diego County illegally infringed on the religious liberty of Christians attending a Bible study at the home of a pastor and ordered them to stop meeting. ADF-allied attorney Dean Broyles of the Western Center for Law and Policy persuaded the county to withdraw the order so the Bible study can continue.
- A federal court issued a permanent injunction to prevent the city of St. Louis from prosecuting Apple of His Eye Ministries. After its members were threatened with arrest for speaking about their faith in a public park, the ministry filed a lawsuit against the city. ADF-allied attorney Rick Nelson served as lead counsel in the lawsuit.
- A Utah court affirmed the rights of a biological parent to parent her own child and dealt a defeat to advocates of the homosexual legal agenda. ADF-allied attorney Frank Mylar represented Jana Dickson and gained a dismissal of the other woman’s demands.
The ADF National Litigation Academy is making a Kingdom difference, and you can be a part of it. By giving a generous gift to train the next class of NLA attorneys, you will make an even greater impact for religious freedom and your future! Have your gift matched today!
