Help Fund Allied Attorney Training
Raise funds to help train Christian attorneys at the ADF Legal Academy and to defend religious freedom in communities like yours across America.
At the Alliance Defense Fund, we know that we can accomplish far more together than we can alone. That is why we are building a strong legal alliance of Christian attorneys who are equipped to defend religious freedom, the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family in communities like yours. So far, our army is more than 2,000 strong, but the goal is to reach 5,000 allied attorneys so that the ADF alliance may combat the ever-growing attacks from the opposition. You have an opportunity to help make this possible by starting a campaign to help fund allied attorney training.
About the ADF Legal Academy
By 1994 – the year ADF was launched – the most threatening opponent to religious freedom, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), had already built an army of more than 2,200 volunteer attorneys who were fighting for their radical secular agenda in courtrooms across America. Because people of faith were often not represented in these cases, Christians were rapidly losing their God-given, constitutionally protected freedoms by default.
So in 1997, with the goal of building a strong legal alliance to combat the ACLU and its allies, ADF launched the first ADF Legal Academy (formerly known as National Litigation Academy) session to train Christian attorneys in constitutional law. This one-of-a-kind program features continuing legal education conducted by some of the nation's top litigators and constitutional law experts, who are training these attorneys to make a lasting impact on Our First Liberty – religious freedom – in communities like yours all across America.
A Great Return on Investment
Thanks to the faithful support of dedicated Christians like you, the Legal Academy training is provided to the attorneys accepted into the program at no cost. In return, attorneys make a faith commitment to provide 450 hours of pro-bono legal work on behalf of the Body of Christ. In just 14 short years, ADF has trained more than 1,500 attorneys who have provided nearly $136 million in dedicated, pro-bono service in the legal battle to defend, protect, and affirm religious freedom, the sanctity of life, marriage, and the family. In fact, for every dollar invested in the Legal Academy training program, it has returned more than $10 in value to the Body of Christ and the local community. This is simply an amazing return on investment – and you can help continue this program’s success!
How to Start Your Campaign
You have an opportunity to start a fundraising campaign in your community that will help grow our army of allied attorneys and make a real difference for religious freedom. The goal of the campaign is to get 10 of your friends to commit to giving a $35, $50 or $100 recurring monthly gift to ADF. This ongoing support will help sustain the training of Christian attorneys at the Legal Academy and protect religious liberty where it’s threatened the most.
You will also get a great return on your investment. Each Legal Academy-trained attorney commits to providing 450 hours of pro-bono, dedicated service to the Body of Christ. At a conservative rate of $200 per hour, this means that the legal services provided by each attorney are valued at $90,000.
