Supporting Religious Freedom in Prayer

Prayer

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him,
he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing."
- ADF theme verse, John 15:5

The Alliance Defense Fund depends on the prayerful support of Christians like you to achieve victory in the battle for religious freedom. Please join us in praying for these specific requests and thanking God for the victories He’s provided.

  • Praise God: Doctor-prescribed death is illegal under Hawaii law despite what a pro-death group has argued, according to a newly authored legal opinion issued by Hawaii Attorney General David Louie to Sen. Josh Green, M.D. Green requested the opinion after learning from media reports and an Alliance Defense Fund allied attorney that the group Compassion and Choices was publicly arguing that state law allows for physician-assisted suicide. According to Green, the attorney general’s legal opinion states that state law “does not authorize physicians to assist terminally ill patients with dying” and “a physician who provided assistance with death could be charged under Hawaii’s manslaughter statute.” Learn more »

  • Praise God: An Alliance Defense Fund lawsuit has led to official recognition for a student-led Christian club at the Hicksville Union Free School District, which originally refused to recognize the club.
