Christian club given an announcement:
Don't use the word "pray"
Learn more.

Our first President - George Washington - announced at his first inauguration in New York City, "It would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this first official act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations."

It seems even this great man would be unable to speak freely in Arizona.

The members of a Christian club at an Arizona high school hold weekly prayer meetings before school. But when a student representative of the club asked to share this information during morning announcements, the assistant principal said no and promptly tore up the request.

Her reason? The announcement contained the word "prayer."
