ADF: Planned Parenthood should surrender records after not reporting rape - 5.19.08
The Alliance Defense Fund on behalf of 27 pro-family organizations filed a friend-of-the-court brief with the Ohio Supreme Court Monday in a case involving Planned Parenthood staff who failed to report the statutory rape of a 14-year-old girl abused by her school’s soccer coach. The coach, age 21, brought the girl to the Planned Parenthood clinic in Cincinnati to have an abortion after discovering he had impregnated her.

Abortionist George Tiller unable to stall grand jury - 5.6.08
In a unanimous ruling, the Kansas Supreme Court Tuesday thwarted an effort by accused serial abortionist George Tiller to stop a grand jury from issuing subpoenas to obtain medical records from him. Alliance Defense Fund attorneys filed a friend-of-the-court brief arguing that the grand jury has the right to issue the subpoenas.

9th Circuit thwarts Wash. state’s attempt to stall conscience rights - 5.2.08
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit ruled Thursday that Washington pharmacists’ rights of conscience will be protected while an appeal by state officials who oppose those rights moves forward. The ruling means that a court order requested by ADF and ADF-allied attorneys to suspend newly-passed state regulations will remain in place. The regulations forced pharmacies and pharmacists to stock or distribute abortion-inducing drugs regardless of their religious or moral opposition.

ADF files lawsuit challenging speech restrictions at University of Maryland - 4.2.08
Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund Center for Academic Freedom filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday challenging the University of Maryland-Baltimore County’s speech zone and speech code policies on behalf of a student pro-life group. The group claims school officials used the speech zone policy to deny it the same access to highly visited areas of campus that other student groups enjoy.
