·Please Pray: ADF attorneys have filed a lawsuit in federal court against the city of Phoenix on behalf of three churches, claiming that a noise ordinance prohibiting the ringing of their bells is unconstitutional. St. Mark Roman Catholic Parish, First Christian Church, and Christ the King Liturgical Charismatic Church have challenged the vague noise ordinance because it offers an exemption for ice cream trucks but not for churches. The city has rescinded its problematic facility access policies, scrapping a library access policy that flatly banned religious meetings and rewriting a recreation facility policy that charged religious groups extra fees that other non-profits were not required to pay. ·Please Pray: A federal court has ruled that portions of South Dakota’s informed consent law requiring doctors to tell women contemplating abortion that they are terminating a human life are constitutional. But the judge struck down a portion requiring doctors to inform women that they are terminating a legally protected relationship with an unborn human being on the basis that the preborn are not “persons.” Learn more...

·Praise God! The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit has reversed a federal judge’s order to remove all religious displays from a church-run contract postal unit in Manchester, Conn. The state corrected rules that excluded the charities from receiving voluntary donations through a payroll deduction system. Employees will no longer be limited to non-religious charities as choices. The Oklahoma Supreme Court had already ruled the lower court was within its authority to dismiss the divorce decree when the trial judge discovered both parties were of the same sex, but the high court returned the case to the trial court because the woman who filed the lawsuit claimed that she didn't get a fair day in court.
