Guarding the Faith
Religious liberty is slipping through our fingers . . . but you hold the answer
The ACLU and its allies have long made it their primary goal to silence Christians in the public square and impede their moral impact on the culture. It began as an ambitious goal, considering that the Pilgrims came to America seeking freedom from religious persecution, and this commitment to religious liberty was foundational to our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Unfortunately, what was once unthinkable has become reality.
In Ocean Grove, New Jersey, the state has removed part of the tax-exempt status of a Christian ministry, punishing it for its refusal to allow same-sex civil unions on its private property. Learn more here...
In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a local church ministering to refugees from Hurricane Katrina was told to stop offering free Bible studies because they occurred in trailers provided by a government agency.
In Antioch, California, a pastor asked to use the public meeting room of a local library—only to have the church evicted when library officials learned the church was using the room for prayer and worship services. Learn more here...
In Elgin, Illinois, Christians who were using church facilities to provide food, clothing, and shelter for the local homeless were told they couldn’t do that because the church was “zoned” for worship services… not mercy.
If this has been possible today, imagine what might be possible tomorrow...

Thankfully, a country without religious freedom does not need to become our reality. This is why we are standing up in the courts – and winning! – to protect you from the attacks by those that seek to remove religion from the public square. ADF has won nearly three out of four cases litigated to conclusion against the ACLU and its allies. Those who oppose religious freedom continue to fight, but with your prayerful support, we can defend and preserve
Our First Liberty – religious freedom (John 15:5).
Please give the best gift you can today to support the legal ministry of ADF, as we work to preserve your religious liberties – the cornerstone of this nation – and the most precious legacy you can pass on to your children and grandchildren.
