The Same-Sex "Marriage" Juggernaut in San Francisco is Ordered to Halt!
We just received GREAT news in the battle to preserve marriage.
In California…
The State Supreme Court unanimously (7-0) issued a stay that San Francisco officials must immediately cease issuing same-sex "marriage" licenses. The Supreme Court properly treated the issue as a "rule of law" issue and seemed to indicate that it will not address the constitutionality of the state’s marriage laws at this time (Proposition 22).
ADF, the Center for Marriage Law, and allied attorney Terry Thompson, filed this original action on behalf of three San Francisco taxpayers. This is the first original action that the court has entertained in five years. The city is ordered to respond on or before March 18th and ADF may reply on March 25th. Stay tuned…
The California Supreme Court has upheld the "rule of law" and restored order to chaos in San Francisco. SOLI DEO GLORIA!! Read the opinion at http://appellatecases.courtinfo.ca.gov/search/dockets.cfm?dist=0&doc_id=311759.
We know that this battle will not be won overnight – and we must persevere through the relentless efforts of homosexual activists to re-define marriage and the family. With your support, I am confident that we can win. In the meantime, we praise God for this victory – and pray for many more to come. Please, please continue to pray for our attorneys, our allied attorneys who make the difference, and our many friends whose support makes this all possible.
