The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) strives to respond promptly and accurately to inquiries from news organizations, journalists, freelance writers, and students covering cases and legal issues in ADF practice areas. These areas include religious freedom, sanctity of life, marriage, and the family. ADF is an alliance of more than 1,200 attorneys nationwide and in several foreign countries providing free legal defense and resources. In addition, ADF employs more than 37 full-time staff attorneys. In fiscal year 2007-08, the Alliance Defense Fund had an 83% success rate in all cases litigated to conclusion. Since its inception in 1994, ADF and its allies have emerged victorious in more than 3 out of 4 cases. In addition, in 41 marriage cases litigated to conclusion, ADF attorneys have emerged victorious 37 times, an 88 percent success rate.
