Prayer helped establish our nation.
Now the ACLU and its allies want it
removed from the public square.

President George Washington, at his first inauguration in New York City, told his audience at Federal Hall that, "It would be peculiarly improper to omit, in this first official act, my fervent supplications to that Almighty Being who rules over the universe, who presides in the councils of nations." Washington then went very publicly to pray at St. Paul’s Church (now Chapel) before he attended inaugural festivities.

Proper or not, the ACLU has been working for years to remove prayer from every public venue. But they aren’t satisfied with their achievements…they also want to take away your right to pray.
