Texas Town Can't Bar Religious Freedoms for Ex-Cons - July 14, 2009
Pastor Rick Barr heads up a ministry called Philemon Homes, which helps non-violent criminals get back on their feet, spiritually and otherwise, after they're released from prison. The ministry was headquartered in Sinton, Texas, but city officials there were apparently uncomfortable with the presence of so many former prisoners. So, they passed zoning restrictions effectively banning Philemon Homes from the community.
